Masroor is an associate in the Intellectual Property practice at Michael Best & Friedrich LLP, where he focuses on patent law. With a strong foundation in mechanical engineering, he brings a highly technical perspective to the protection of innovation—working closely with inventors, engineers, and businesses to translate complex ideas into enforceable intellectual property rights.
Masroor’s path to law is rooted in a lifelong passion for both engineering and writing. Early exposure to patent law revealed a natural intersection between these interests, ultimately shaping his career trajectory. Today, he leverages that dual skillset to help clients secure meaningful protection for their inventions, particularly in mechanical and manufacturing technologies.
He earned his Juris Doctor from Marquette University Law School, where he concentrated on intellectual property and patent law, following a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Marquette University. He is admitted to practice in Wisconsin and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, positioning him to represent clients in both domestic and international patent matters.
In addition to his professional achievements, Masroor is multilingual, speaking Urdu and Spanish, and is an active member of the American Bar Association. His background reflects a commitment not only to technical excellence but also to communication and accessibility—qualities essential in today’s global legal environment.
